Super Bowl Halftime: Lingerie Bowl VI

The Lingerie Bowl started to air back in 2004 and has become a popular special that plays during the NFL’s Super Bowl halftime show. It features attractive and athletic women from the U.S. participating in full-contact football. As the name implies, hot women in lingerie are the big draw. These ladies wear bras and tight shorts, along with some protective gear. There have been several popular models and famous athletes that have participated with the event including Lawrence Taylor, Jim McMahon, Eric Dickerson, Dennis Rodman, Jenny McCarthy, Traci Bingham, Angie Everhart, Cindy Margolis, Kylie Bax, Willa Ford, and Ryan Satrr. 2009 with mark the 6th Annual Lingerie Bowl. The game is exclusively presented on pay-per-view during the Super Bowl’s halftime show and costs about $20.

The game has no official connection to the Super Bowl, but it has grown in popularity so much that it has sparked the Lingerie Football League to be formed. The league will start play in 2009 with 10 teams with games airing on cable television. As with just about everything else associated with the Super Bowl, you can bet on the Lingerie Bowl at.

Does anyone really think the Lingerie Bowl or the Lingerie Football League is a good idea? I’m all for beautiful women and I’m all for football, but sometimes combining things that are great separately isn’t always a good idea. First off, there’s no way this is good football. We’re talking about models here, so they are in great shape (trust me, I’ve researched it extensively), but being in good enough shape to wear a bra on pay-per-view and being in “football shape” are two very different things. Have you actually seen any of these girls catch or throw a football? It isn’t pretty. Well, they are pretty, but the play is as ugly as can be. It’s a novelty and I’m sure they’ll make their millions from the pay-per-view and their advertisers, but to consider this a viable long-term league is just plain stupid. Your average guy football fan will check out these games once or twice, remember that he can look at these girls in a thousand different outfits on the Internet without be subjected to horrendous football, and that will be that. It’s probably just a quick money-grab for those involved, they’ll cash in on the initial lure of the league, fill up their pockets and close up shop. Hopefully it will make for some decent entertainment, but I seriously doubt it. I’d love to hear what everyone else thinks about it. Post your comments below.

NO doubt she has a gun! At first it seemed like the girl went out of the picture then the pass was thrown, so I thought she might have a stand in but then they show her slinging it!
