LSU at South Carolina Football Betting Preview

LSU enters South Carolina after a blowout loss at Florida. There is no doubt in Jay Todd’s mind that Les Miles will have his team ready to rebound against an average South Carolina team and that is why one of his free football picks is on LSU.

LSU’s strength this season has been the running game and defense. In the Tigers four wins they are allowing just 15 points per game. In these four games LSU is giving up just 192 yards passing and 69 rushing yards per game. South Carolina quarterback Chris Smelly has already thrown nine interceptions on the season. This LSU defense is the best he has seen so far, so look for Steve Spurrier to pull the quarterback switch a few times in this one! South Carolina has virtually no running game, so the LSU defense will be able to focusing on the passing attack, and that is very bad news for the Gamecocks.

LSU features a very good running game. Charles Scott has been the main guy in the Tigers’ backfield. He is averaging nearly seven yards per carry and has scored six touchdowns. He has a great combination of speed and power and will look to run all over this South Carolina team.
