Mississippi State v. Vanderbilt Football Odds & Predictions

Vanderbilt visits Mississippi State this week in quest for their fourth SEC win on the year. Vanderbilt is off to their greatest start in school history at 5-0, whereas Mississippi State is just 1-4 and has struggled to score points, which will be devastating against such a good Vanderbilt defense. The current odds at Bookmaker show Vanderbilt as a 2.5 point favorite over Mississippi State.

Mackenzi Adams looks to have taken over at quarterback for Vanderbilt. Adams is a great decision making when throwing the ball and is a very tough and strong runner who can pick up solid yards with his feet. Adams looked fantastic against Auburn. He didn’t turn the football over and threw two touchdowns and picked up 54 yards on the ground. Adams will show once again that he can protect the football and make the big plays when necessary.

Mississippi State’s defense has been very weak this year. Besides the Auburn game, they are giving up over 32 points per game. Look for Adams and the Vanderbilt running game to do enough to get close to that amount in this contest.
