2011 Monday Night Football Schedule

In the table below you’ll find the Monday Night Football schedule for the 2011 NFL season.  It’s hard to believe this will already be the seventh season MNF will be broadcast on ESPN following the run from 1970 to 2005 on ABC.

As with every season, this year’s Monday Night Football features several great matchups, plus some rivalry games that don’t make it to primetime as often as they should.

One of the games I have circled is the Week 5 showdown between the Chicago Bears and the Detroit Lions.  Not only should this game have implications for the NFC North, it also marks the first time since 2001 that the Detroit Lions have been on Monday Night Football.  After a decade of being ignored it should be very interesting to see how the Lions react.

You also have to think that the Week 16 game between the Falcons and Saints is going to impact the NFC South.

Those are just a few of the potentially exciting games to look forward to, here’s the complete list.
