NBA Betting: Quick Hitters

It is critical to stay current on trends/injuries in order to be successful at NBA betting. Many square bettors don’t know the most current injury information which puts them at a severe disadvantage against the NBA odds. Let’s go over the latest news and notes from the Association.
MILWAUKEE – The Bucks are playing without center Andrew Bogut, who has been critical to their success this season. They have struggled since he’s been out of the line-up, especially against teams with an average or better inside game. Look for this trend to continue until he returns.
CLEVELAND – The Cavaliers are still without center Zydrunas Ilgauskas but now they are also without starting guard Delonte West. It appears that injuries are starting to catch up with the Cavaliers, as they were considerably outplayed by Los Angeles just a few nights ago. Another interesting note is during that game Phil Jackson said that the Cavaliers can be easily exploited on the inside. When an opposing coach flatly and openly says something like that, then it’s obviously a huge problem that teams will look to take advantage. Also, Cleveland has played the easiest schedule in the NBA this season. Our handicappers can help you win your NBA picks this season whether you bet on or against the Cavs this week.
MINNESOTA – Kevin McHale has miraculously turned this team around after taking over as coach. The Timberwolves have been one of the hottest teams in the NBA, winning seven of their last ten games straight up while covering against the spread in nine of those games. Al Jefferson and Randy Foye have been very hard for opposing teams to contain. Look to take Minnesota as a large underdog, especially when they face an opposing team in a tough scheduling spot.
DENVER – The Nuggets are still playing without Carmelo Anthony, but they have played fairly well without him. Denver has a very balanced offense and a quality defense, which will make them tough against almost any team. Chauncey Billups addition to this team is invaluable, as the Nuggets finally have an effective point guard who can defend.
BOSTON – The Celtics went through a very rough stretch recently following their Christmas Day loss at Los Angeles. As a result, they have been slightly undervalued in their last few games. However, the Celtics appear to back in old form, as they have blowout wins and covers against New Jersey (twice), Phoenix, and Miami. Boston will be a play on team for the near future. CHARLOTTE – The Bobcats have quietly played much better lately, as it appears that the addition of Boris Diaw and Raja Bell appear to be paying dividends. Larry Brown is motivated to turn this team around and has started to do just that. Charlotte is 5-1 straight up and 6-0 against the spread in their last 6 games. Three of those games were against quality teams San Antonio, Portland, and Detroit as well. Look for situations to take the Bobcats at home, especially as an underdog or small favorite.
