Lebron James can now put his homecoming trip to Cleveland behind him and look forward to the Atlanta Hawks coming to town on Saturday. He, along with the Miami Heat, can breathe a sigh of relief now that they came away with a 118-90 victory over the Cavaliers on Thursday night. James scored 38 points, dished out eight assists and grabbed five rebounds before sitting out the fourth quarter with the outcome already decided.
Lebron and company went on a 16-0 run in the first quarter, and thanks to a 24-point third quarter from James the Cavaliers would never get within 19 points in the second half. Dwyane Wade also had a solid game in the win, nearly registering a triple-double with 22 points, nine rebound and nine assists. The Heat (12-8) will now host the Atlanta Hawks (13-7) Saturday. NBA odds for this game show us a line of Miami -8.5 over Atlanta with a total set of 193.5 points.

Atlanta is coming off a come-from-behind 93-88 home win over the Philadelphia 76ers. Trailing 85-72 in the fourth quarter, the Hawks closed the game on a 21-3 run. They got their first lead of the night on a three-point play by Al Horford with just 31 seconds to play and held on from there. They handed the 76ers their eighth straight road loss with the victory.
The Hawks will play the next five or six weeks without star guard Joe Johnson, who is out while recovering from arthroscopic surgery on his right elbow. He has been their leading scorer at 17.1 PPG up to this point. They’ll have to find scoring elsewhere, and Al Horford (16.5 PPG), Josh Smith (15.4) and Jamal Crawford (14.1) will all three have to be more aggressive offensively to make up for Johnson’s absence. Miami has won three straight over Atlanta, but have yet to face the Hawks since James and Chris Bosh took their talents to South Beach. Tip is set for 7:30 EST Saturday.
BetUS Projected Score: Heat 101 – Hawks 92
