NBA Picks 1/29/08
Written January 29, 2008 by Jack Jones
The Spurs went down in flames last night. Let’s get back on track today with two winners I’m feeling pretty good about.
Toronto Raptors +2
Over the last three seasons Toronto has played very good on the road against teams who score a lot of points, going 22-9 ATS against teams who average more than 99 ppg. Toronto has also been playing better lately, winning four out of their last five and seven out of their last nine games. Washington on the other hand has dropped two out of their last three games and we see them going down again tonight against the Raptors.
Atlanta Hawks +9
The public is going to be on the Suns tonight but we think the value is here with the Hawks. Even though they have lost five of their last six games while Phoenix has won six of their last seven, this is too many points for Atlanta to be catching. The Suns are 8-11 ATS at home and over the last three years are just 3-13 ATS at home when favored by 9 to 12 points. Joe Johnson returns to Phoenix and has a big game as the Hawks lose but cover the nine.
Overall Record 12-15
