NBA Picks 2/8/08
The Cavs laid an egg for us last night, but there is a solid batch of games ready to go tonight to get us back on track.
Orlando -1
The Lakers look like they are going to need some time to work Gasol into the system. Kobe hasn’t been himself the last couple of days and you can bet LA is looking more towards the playoffs than they are towards winning these regular season games. For Orlando this game means a lot because they are trying to prove that they are on the cusp of being an Eastern Conference elite team.
New York +7.5
San Antonio seems to be struggling this year as age might be catching up with them. It’s tough to take the Knicks since they are one of the worst teams in the league, but catching this many points at home against an over-rated Spurs team is a spot they can cover in.
Cleveland +4
LeBron isn’t going to let this team lose on back-to-back nights. Atlanta has been playing well as evidenced by their latest win over the Lakers, but it’ll be tough to keep that up against the Cavs tonight. We are taking the points and Cleveland.
Sacramento +2.5
This is more of a system play than anything else. I like the points.
