NBA Picks: Charlotte Bobcats at Chicago Bulls
Written by Steve Janus - Google +
The Chicago Bulls will go for their ninth straight win at home, when they host the Charlotte Bobcats tonight. Tip-off is set for 7:30 ET at the United Center.
The Bobcats come in off a 96-92 overtime loss at Philadelphia on Monday, and have lost three straight since beating the Bulls 96-91 at home last Wednesday. Charlotte however is just 4-14 on the road this season, and 2-9 all-time at Chicago.
The Bulls won 96-84 at Memphis yesterday, despite the fact that they were without Carlos Boozer, who sat out the game with sprained ankle. Chicago has won three straight since losing to the Bobcats, and own a 18-3 record at home this season.
Taking a look at the NBA spreads for this game, oddsmakers have the Bulls favored by 7.5-points over the Bobcats with the total sitting at 185.

The Bobcats are struggling to get their offense going the past few games, and yesterday they shot just 35.8% from the field. Boris Diaw did come away with a triple-double in the loss, as he had 25 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists.
The problem however was the Bobcats got just 15 from Stephen Jackson, 11 from Gerald Wallace, and just nine points from D.J. Augustin. In the win over Chicago last week, the trio of Jackson, Wallace, and Augustin combined for 52 points, led by Augustin’s 22 points and 12 assists.
Charlotte was without Tyrus Thomas against the 76ers, as he sat out a one-game suspension, and wound up getting just 17 points from their bench. Thomas had 17 points and 13 rebounds off the bench against Chicago. and will need him to give them a spark if they are going to upset the Bulls tonight.
With Boozer out of the lineup, Derrick Rose knew he had to have a big game for the Bulls to pull off the win on the road against the Grizzlies, and he did just that, Rose had 22 points, 12 assists, and 10 rebounds for his first career triple-double. Rose is averaging 33 points over his last three games at home, and with Boozer likely out again tonight, the Bulls will need another big night from their All-Star point guard.
Taj Gibson scored 10 points and grabbed seven rebounds filling in for Boozer in the starting lineup, and Luol Deng exploded for 28 points. Chicago also got a big game from Kyle Korver, who hit 6-10 from long distance on his way to scoring 22 points in 26 minutes off the bench.
This will be the fourth game in five days for both teams, and I think there is no question that you have to give the edge to Chicago on their home court. The Bulls are 10-2 ATS when playing their 3rd game in 4 days this season.
