NBA Picks: Chicago Bulls at Los Angeles Clippers

Written by -

The Los Angeles Clippers will go for their 10th straight win at home when they host the Chicago Bulls at the Staples Center Wednesday Night. Los Angeles already beat the Bulls 100-99 in Chicago back on Dec. 18. Our NBA spreads for this game have the Bulls favored by 2-points over the Clippers with the total set at 194.

Chicago beat Indiana on Saturday 110-89 for their fifth straight win and eighth in their last nine games. Chicago is currently a half-game behind the Heat for the third best record in all of the NBA.

The Clippers are just 19-28 on the season, but are 13-7 in their last 20. Los Angeles held on for 105-98 win over Milwaukee on Monday, but figure to have their hands full tonight.

The Bulls continue to play extremely well without Joakim Noah, who is expected to return sometime in the middle of this month. Carlos Boozer has done a great job while Noah has been out, and is coming off a 24 point and 10 rebound performance against the Pacers. Boozer is averaging 18.5 points and 11.3 rebounds over his last four games.

Chicago also got 20 points and seven assists from Derrick Rose, who continues to play despite being bothered by stomach ulcers. Luol Deng had an all-around good game with 19 points, eight assists, and six rebounds, and Kyle Korver came off the bench to score 16 points in just 21 minutes.

Rose had 35 points, eight assists, and six rebounds, while Boozer dropped 25 in the Bulls loss to the Clippers. Rose had a chance to tie the game, but missed a free throw with .08 left.

Blake Griffin dropped 29 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for the Clippers in the win in Chicago, and is the main reason why this team has really came alive late in the season. Griffin had 32 points, 11 rebounds, and six assists in the win over Milwaukee.

Randy Foye continues to do an excellent job filling in for the injured Eric Gordon. Foye had 20 points and five assists against the Bucks, his third straight game with at least 20 points. Baron Davis also had a nice night with 18 points and seven assists, while DeAndre Jordan added 16 points and seven boards.

The Bulls are just 10-10 on the road this season, but I really like this team to go into Los Angeles and get the win tonight. Chicago has had three days off since their last game, and will have plenty of motivation to win after the Clippers beat them on their home court. Chicago also doesn’t want Clippers head coach Vinny Del Negro to sweep his former team in his first season with Los Angeles.
