NBA Picks: Chicago Bulls at Philadelphia 76ers
Written by Steve Janus - Google +
The Philadelphia 76ers will look to continue their strong play when they host the Chicago Bulls tonight. Philadelphia comes in off a 109-97 win over the Washington Wizards, and have really turned things around since their 3-13 start to the season. Since that mark the 76ers are 11-8 and currently sit in the No. 8 spot in the Eastern Conference. The 76ers will look to get revenge on the Bulls, who beat Philadelphia 121-76 at Chicago back on Dec. 21. The Bulls have won six of eight since that game, but are coming off a last second lost to the Nets on Wednesday. Our NBA spreads have the 76ers favored by 1-point over the Bulls at home.

The Bulls had won five straight before falling at New Jersey 96-94, but the loss isn’t was has the Bulls fans attention. its the fact that star power forward Carlos Boozer sat out the final 14 minutes of that game. Boozer was not injured, and it seems as though head coach Tom Thibodeau was send a message to the big man.
Boozer is expected to start tonight against the 76ers and it will be interesting to see how he responds to what happened. Boozer had 16 points and 11 rebounds in the Bulls easy win over Philadelphia earlier this season.
Derrick Rose really struggled to get going against the Nets, scoring just 19 points and coming away with just one assists. Rose expects much more out of himself, and you can almost count on him coming out with a big game tonight.
Jrue Holiday had 26 points points in the 76ers win over Washington, and is averaging 20 points over his last seven games. Holiday had just nine points against the Bulls, and they are going to need his scoring tonight, as they will be without Andre Iguodala for a sixth straight game.
Lou Williams came off the bench to score 26 points for Philadelphia against the Wizards, and the 76ers would love to see more of this from Williams, who is averaging just 12 points on the season. The 76ers bench outscored the Wizards bench 47-19, and need to continue to get that kind of play out of their reserves.
I think you have to take your chances on the Bulls in this one. Chicago hasn’t loss back-to-back games since losing to Boston and Orlando back in the beginning of December. I understand the 76ers are playing well, but if Chicago comes to play, they are going to win this game.
