NBA Picks: Chicago Bulls at Washington Wizards
Written by Steve Janus - Google +
The Washington Wizards will look to avenge an earlier loss to the Chicago Bulls when the two teams face off at the Verizon Center tonight. After losing a heartbreaker to the Heat on Saturday, the Wizards bounced back with a 108-75 win against Charlotte on Monday. Chicago made quick work of the 76ers last night, as they crushed Philadelphia 121-76 at home. It was the Bulls first win since they lost Joakim Noah, and their eighth win in their last nine games. Our NBA spreads indicate that the oddsmakers have the Bulls favored by 3-points over the Wizards on the road.

The Wizards will be without John Wall for a fifth straight game, but will add Rashard Lewis to the rotation, who was just recently acquired from the Magic for Gilbert Arenas. Lewis was averaging just 12 points a game with the Magic, but are hoping that he will be a much better fit with Wall once he is back.
Expect the Bulls to pay plenty of attention to Nick Young, who has scored 20 or more in four straight games, including 30 points against the Heat on Saturday. Young is averaging just 14.5 points a game, but it seems like whenever he is given minutes, he produces.
Derrick Rose had 22 points and 12 assists in just 29 minutes last night against the 76ers, and there is no question that anytime he steps on the floor the Bulls have a chance to win. Carlos Boozer had 16 points and 11 rebounds, and I think he is a very difficult matchup for the Wizards tonight. Also keep an eye on Kurt Thomas, who started last night and scored 12 points with eight rebounds and five blocks in just 28 minutes of work.
The Bulls have a big game coming up against the Knicks on Saturday, and this could be a bit of a trap game, and why the oddsmakers have set the line so low for a team that is playing so well lately.
The Bulls are just 6-6 on the road this season, but are 5-0 on the road against teams with a .500 record or worse. I think the Bulls still feel like they have something to prove, and I just think you have to take your chances on them covering tonight. I also think the Wizards will struggle adding a new player to the mix.
