NBA Picks: Milwaukee Bucks at Golden State Warriors
Written by Steve Janus - Google +
The Golden State Warriors will try and make it two straight when they host the Milwaukee Bucks Thursday night. Milwaukee did a great job defensively in a 79-72 win at home against Golden State, but have been plagued with injuries all season long.
Our NBA spreads for this game have the Warriors favored by 7-points over the Bucks with the total set at 200.
Milwaukee fell 105-98 at the Clippers on Monday, and then followed that up with a 92-77 loss at Phoenix last night. This is the final game of a short three-game road trip for the Bucks.
The Warriors snapped a four-game losing streak with a 96-81 win over the Jazz on Sunday, and have had the last three days off to get their legs back.

The Bucks just can’t seem to stay healthy. Andrew Bogut was unable to play last night with a hurt knee, and is listed as questionable for tonight. Keyon Dooling is battling the flu, and its unclear if he will be able to play either. All this after the Bucks finally got Brandon Jennings back into the starting lineup. Jennings had six points, six rebounds, and five assists in just 24 minutes, and don’t be surprised if he doesn’t get closer to 30 minutes tonight.
Corey Maggette had 15 points and eight rebounds, and has continued to play well since being inserted into the starting lineup. John Salmons also returned to the lineup after sitting out the last eight games with a hip injury. Salmons however had just two points in 11 minutes.
The Bucks shot just 31.1% as a team against Phoenix, and if they struggle like that offensively tonight, they won’t have much of a chance against the Warriors.
Golden State won at Utah with Monta Ellis scoring just two points on 1-9 shooting. Ellis had been averaging just over 27 points in his previous nine games, so I wouldn’t expect another off night tonight.
Stephen Curry picked up the slack with 27 points, seven assists, and six rebounds. Dorell Wright helped out with 16, Reggie Williams came off the bench to score 15, and David Lee had a solid 14 on 6-10 shooting.
While 7-points might seem a little high to lay on the Warriors, I think with the way Milwaukee has struggled on the road (8-18) and all the injuries they have had to deal with, they don’t have much of shot at keeping this one close tonight.
