Written by Steve Janus - Google +
The Washington Wizards will go for their third win in their last four games at home when they host the Sacramento Kings Tuesday night. The Wizards lost at Charlotte 104-89 on Saturday, and have still yet to win a game on the road this season (0-18). The Kings were without leading scorer Tyreke Evans against the Raptors on Sunday, and would up losing 118-112. The Kings crushed the Wizards 116-91 at home earlier this season, but they to have struggled on the road, winning just two of their 13 road games. Tip-off is set for 7:00 ET at the Verizon Center, and our NBA spreads have the Wizards favored by 6.5-points over the Kings at home.

Sacramento played pretty well considering they were without Evans, but there is no question the Kings will need their go to guy back on the court as soon as possible. Evans had scored 56 points and recorded 20 assists in the previous two games. Evans is listed as doubtful for tonight’s game, so don’t expect to see him on the floor for the Kings.
Beno Uldrich picked up the slack for Evans with 25 points, and DeMarcus Cousins continued to play well with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Jason Thompson also had a double-double for the Kings with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Sacramento as a team had just 19 assists, and it is going to be hard for this team to move the ball without Evans driving and creating for others.
Sacramento beat the Wizards earlier this season with Evans scoring just eight points in 26 minutes, so you have to think the Kings at least have a chance to pull off the win tonight, but Washington was without rookie John Wall for that game.
Wall has struggled to stay healthy this season, but when he has been able to stay on the floor he has really been a spark to the Washington offense. Wall scored 16 points and dished out 11 assists in the Wizards latest loss the Bobcats, and is averaging 15.2 points and 9.6 assists in his last five games.
The Wizards are going to go into this game believing they have a great shot at beating the Kings without Evans, and for whatever reason this team plays at a different level on their home floor. The Wizards are 9-8 at home, and there last three wins have all came by 14 or more points, including a 33 point win over the same Bobcats team that just beat them on the road by 15.
With the Kings not having Evans, I really like the Wizards to come away with a win in this one, and I think they have a great shot at covering the 6.5-point spread as well. The Kings are just 4-9 ATS on the road this season, while the Wizards are 9-8 ATS at home.
