NBA Spreads: Indiana Pacers at Washington Wizards
Written by Steve Janus - Google +
The Washington Wizards are hoping to snap a three game losing streak when they host the struggling Indiana Pacers tonight. Washington let a 10 point fourth quarter lead slip away on Monday, as the Rockets came back to win 100-93. The Wizards are just 2-11 in the month of December. Indiana also let a fourth quarter lead slip away in their last game, as they lost 95-83 at home against the Celtics. Indiana entered December at 9-7, but have went just 4-9 in their last 13 games and are now a season-low three games under .500. Taking a look a the NBA spreads for tonight’s games, the oddsmakers have the Wizards favored by 2.5-points over the Pacers at home.

The Wizards are playing much better lately, and once they start to figure out how to close games they are going to start winning more and more games. After their latest loss at Houston, the Wizards are 0-15 on the road. Washington is 7-7 at home and have to feel like they have a great shot at pulling out a win tonight.
Kirk Hinrich led six different Wizards in double-figures with 19 points. Nick Young continued his strong play with 18 points, and Andray Blatche added 17 points and 14 rebounds. John Wall scored 13 points and added six assists and five rebounds in just 27 minutes of the bench, and it figures to be just a matter of time before he makes his way back into the starting lineup.
Indiana has won just two of their last six games, and all six losses have been by double-digits. The Pacers will look to snap a six game losing streak tonight, but need to start making some shots. Indiana is averaging just over 87 points during their last six road games.
The Pacers need Danny Granger to get going, the former All-Star is just 26 for 83 (31%) in his last four games. Granger is still putting up the points, averaging 24 points over his last five games, but he needs to start taking shots within the offense and not just trying to do everything by himself.
I think the Wizards are headed in the right direction, and I think they come away with a nice win at home tonight. Indiana isn’t playing well at all, and I think the Wizards are playing with a lot of energy despite their struggles to win games.
