NCAA Basketball Picks 1/20/08

Went 5-5 yesterday losing the juice. Just can’t seem to get it going on the college hardwood yet this year, but I’m hoping to get things turned around today.

Temple pk
I’ll take Temple here in a straight pick em spot against one of the worst teams in college basketball. I’m still reeling from that 20-point performance St. Louis put up against George Washington. Temple has been known as a team with solid defensive fundamentals for years, and they should head into St. Louis and pick up the W here.
Washington State -8.5
The Cougars are for real this year. They may have lost at UCLA a week ago, but they have won 4 out of their last 5 ATS and that loss to the Bruins was their only SU defeat this season. Oregon is coming off a loss in their last game by 8 points at Washington, and Washington State is a lot better than their in-state rivals. This one should be a blowout and I’m comfortable laying this number.
