NCAA Basketball Picks 1/22/08
Written January 22, 2008 by Jack Jones
2-0 on Sunday with a few close winners. Let’s try to make it a little easier tonight with these two that I feel have a great shot at coming through for us.
Toledo +5
I know this might give you a double take since Toledo has gone 0-10 on the road this season, but they have played Eastern Michigan well and that team shouldn’t be laying five points to anybody. The Rockets have won six straight meetings between these two teams and are 6-2 ATS on their last eight trips to Eastern Michigan. Even with as bad as Toledo has been playing this year, we see no reason to think they can’t cover this small number against an inferior opponent that they have domianted in recent years.
Creighton -5.5
The public is probably going to be all over the Bulldogs tonight since they have an impressive record and have been playing great basketball. However, Creighton has had Drake’s number, winning nine out of the last ten contests between the two teams. Also, Creighton has killed Drake every time they have made the trip over to Omaha, winning their last five games by double digits. We are going to go against the grain for this one and take the Bluejays.
