NCAA Basketball Picks 2/6/08

With all eyes on the Duke/North Carolina game tonight, a game that we did a special writeup for a few days ago and took Duke, we are going to try and pick up on two mistakes in the odds.
St. Joe’s +1
Duquesne has dropped two straight by double digits and has only covered one time in their last five games. St. Joe’s has won six straight games and is coming off a couple of blowout wins, one being against Villanova the other night that we sure didn’t see coming. This team is playing well right now and should be able to go on the road and take care of the Dukes.
Georgia Tech +2.5
This line is surprisingly low when you look at how Wake Forest is a perfect 12-0 at home while Georgia Tech has struggled to a 6-5 record on the road. In recent games however, the Yellow Jackets have been the better team. They dropped a close two-point game to Maryland last time out, but had won three straight before that. Wake Forest has been up and down and we think even though the public will be backing the Demon Deacons tonight, the play is on the Yellow Jackets.
