One of the tips for winning your NCAA tournament pool that I gave you was to focus on travel. So where are the teams in the NCAA tournament playing in 2010?  Let’s take a look, starting with the first weekend before moving to the Sweet 16/Elite 8 and finally the location of the Final Four and Championship game.

First Two Rounds

Oklahoma City will play host to Thursday’s action starting at 12:20 with BYU/Florida, followed by Kansas State/North Texas at 2:40, UNLV/UNI at 7:10, and Kansas/Lehigh at 9:30. Providence is another host for Thursday action with Villanova/Robert Morris at 12:30 followed by Richmond/St. Mary’s at 2:50 then Georgetown/Ohio at 7:25 and Tennessee/San Diego State at 9:45.

San Jose is another Thursday venue with Vanderbilt/Murray State tipping off at 2:30, Butler/UTEP going at 4:45, Marquette/Washington at 7:20, and New Mexico/Montana finishing the night off at 9:40.  New Orleans is the final Thursday site with Notre Dame/Old Dominion at 12:25, Baylor/Sam Houston State at 2:45, Kentucky/East Tennessee State at 7:15, and Texas/Wake Forest in the 9:35 nightcap.

Spokane is one of the site’s hosting Friday action with Purdue/Siena kicking things off at 2:30, followed by Texas A&M/Utah State at 4:45.  It’ll be Michigan State/New Mexico State at 7:20 and Maryland/Houston finishing the Spokane action off at 9:40.  Milwaukee’s Friday action sees Xavier/Minnesota at 12:25 and Pittsburgh/Oakland at 2:45.  Those games are followed by Oklahoma State/Georgia Tech at 7:15 and Ohio State/Cal-Santa Barbara at 9:35.

The Buffalo action kicks off with West Virginia/Morgan State at 12:15 and Clemson/Missouri at 2:35.  Gonzaga/Florida State should be a solid game at 7:10 and the nightcap is Syracuse/Vermont at 9:30.  Last but not least we have Jacksonville with Temple/Cornell at 12:30 and Wisconsin/Wofford at 2:50.  Then Duke will play the play-in winner and the game that finishes the action is Cal/Louisville at 9:45.

Sweet 16/Elite 8

The four locations for the second weekend of the tournament will be St. Louis for the Midwest bracket, Salt Lake City for the West bracket, Houston for the South bracket, and Syracuse for the East bracket.

Final Four/Championship

The Final Four goes through Indianapolis this year and will be played at Lucas Oil Stadium.
