Bengals defeat Ravens 17-14 - Cincinnati played their fifth consecutive thriller that came down to the wire, and they came out on top once again. The Bengals are now 4-1 and own the best record in the AFC North division. They got 120 rushing yards from Cedric Benson on 27 carries along with a touchdown, and Carson Palmer led the game-winning drive by connecting with Andre Caldwell in the closing seconds.

Browns defeat Bills 6-3 - This was an ugly one to watch with just three measly field goals. Jamal Lewis carried the way for the Browns with 117 rushing yards on 31 carries, and Cleveland overcame a dreadful 2-of-17 passing performance from QB Derek Anderson.

Panthers defeat Redskins 20-17 - The Panthers trailed 15-2 at one point, but reeled of 18 unanswered points to get the victory. Running back Jonathan Stewart scored the game-winning touchdown with just over 9 minutes remaining and the Panthers moved the chains late to seal the victory.

Steelers defeat Lions 28-20 - This game was more of a blowout than the final score indicated with the Lions scoring a meaningless touchdown late. They were unable to get the ball back for a chance to tie. Ben Roethlisberger threw for 277 yards and 3 touchdowns in the win. Daunte Culpepper was sharp for Detroit with 282 passing yards and a TD pass.

Cowboys defeat Chiefs 26-20 - Kansas City tied it up with about 20 seconds to go on a Matt Cassel strike to Bowe to send it into overtime. But the star of the day was Miles Austin, and he did not disappoint in the extra period. Austin broke a couple tackles and scored the game-winning touchdown in OT. He finished with 10 catches for 250 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Giants defeat Raiders 44-7 - Oakland got blown out once again by a superior opponents. Ahmad Bradshaw rushed for 110 yards and 2 touchdowns on just 11 carries as New York shredded the Raiders’ defense both on the ground and through the air.

Eagles defeat Bucs 33-14 - The Eagles took a 28-7 lead into the fourth quarter as this one was basically over before it started. Donovan McNabb impressed in his return to the starting lineup, completing 16-of-21 passes for 264 yards and 3 touchdowns, two of which went to rookie WR Jeremy Maclin who had a big day receiving. The Bucs got 102 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns from tight end Kellen Winslow in the loss.

Vikings defeat Rams 38-10 - Jared Allen was big once again, recovering two fumbles and returning one for a score in the first quarter that put Minnesota ahead 14-0. Adrian Peterson finished with 69 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns to lead the Vikings’ offense.

Falcons defeat 49ers 45-10 - Atlanta jumped out to a 14-0 lead and took a 35-10 margin into halftime and the rest was history. Roddy White finished 8 catches for 210 yards and 2 touchdowns, while Michael Turner carried the load on the ground with 97 rushing yards and 3 touchdowns.

Cardinals defeat Texans 28-21 - It’s hard to believe that Arizona was up 21-0 at one point, and this game ended up nodded at 21 apiece. But Antonio Cromartie returned an interception for a touchdown with just over 2 minutes remaining, and the Cardinals’ defense finished off the game with an impressive goal-line stand with just seconds remaining. Kurt Warner threw for 302 yards and 2 touchdowns, while Matt Schaub had 371 passing yards and 2 touchdowns, but his one interception proved to be the difference.

Broncos defeat Patriots 20-17 - Denver rallied from a 7-17 halftime deficit and held New England scoreless after the break. Kyle Orton was impressive once again, throwing for 330 yards and 2 touchdowns, both of which went to Brandon Marshall. Matt Prater kicked the game-winner in overtime and head coach Josh McDaniels celebrated another victory which puts the Broncos at 5-0 on the season.

Seahawks defeat Jaguars 41-0 - Matt Hasselbeck was brilliant in his return from a rib injury, throwing for 241 yards and 4 touchdowns. He threw a pair to T.J. Houshmandzadeh and a pair to Nate Burleson. Give credit to the defense for a shutout as well, which was their second of the season.

Colts defeat Titans 31-9 - Peyton Manning topped the 300-yard mark for a fifth consecutive week, throwing for 309 yards and 3 touchdowns. Two went to rookie WR Austin Collie, who finished with 8 catches for 97 yards and 2 touchdowns. This offense is hitting on all cylinders right now, but the defense is also doing its part.

Dolphins defeat Jets 31-27 - The NFL saved their most exciting game for the biggest stage in football Monday night. The Jets led 13-10 heading into the 4th quarter, but the teams combined to score 5 touchdowns in the final period with a flurry of points and lead changes. The final lead change occurred with Ronnie Brown ran it in from 2 yards out with only a few seconds remaining to give Miami a big win. The Jets could not stop the Wildcat, and Chad Henne shined in only his second start of the season, throwing for 241 yards and 2 touchdowns. Braylon Edwards made his presence felt for New York, though, recording 5 catches for 64 yards and a touchdown. Edwards also set up two other Thomas Jones touchdowns, catching a ball at the 1-yard line and getting a pass interference call which put the Jets inside the 5-yard line. But in the end, the Dolphins would not be denied.
