NFL Score Predictions for Week 5

The Cleveland Browns almost had that first win last week, but they blew their chances and went to 0-4. The Bills have looked bad the last few weeks, but the Browns coming to town will probably make them look better. Prediction: Buffalo 24 Cleveland 17

Dallas is just 2-2 to start the season, but the head to Kansas City where things are much worse for the 0-4 Chiefs. Tony Romo and the offense from Dallas will likely find moving the ball much easier against this below par defense of KC. Prediction: Dallas 28 Kansas City 17

Minnesota heads to St. Louis after the Vikings held on in the huge matchup against the Packers last weekend. The Rams are pretty bad defensively, and very bad offensively. Peterson will have a big day and the Vikings defense will shut down the Rams. Prediction: Minnesota 28 St. Louis 10

The Oakland Raiders offense has been nothing short of pathetic in the first four weeks. In the last three games they have scored a total of 22 points. The Giants have question marks surrounding Eli Manning and his injury status, but the team has played very well up to this point. Prediction: New York 31 Oakland 10

The Philadelphia Eagles have had some time to get healthy and the Tampa Bay Bucs have simply been anemic on offense this year. Expect Philly to put this one away fairly early and then cruise the rest of the way. Prediction: Eagles 31 Tampa Bay 13

The Pittsburgh Steelers held on last week against San Diego to even their record at 2-2. The Detroit Lions are definitely taking steps in the right direction, but they probably won’t be able put enough points on the board to scare the Steelers too much in this one. Prediction: Pittsburgh 28 Detroit 10

Washington is 2-2 on the year, but it certainly hasn’t been pretty at all. Carolina is 0-3, but they are certainly a better team than their record indicates. Carolina’s running game will get going in this one and the Redskins offense will struggle again. Prediction: Carolina 24 Washington 13

The Cincinnati Bengals escaped last week and are now 3-1, but the Baltimore Ravens will be a very tough opponent for them in week 5. These two are tied at the top of the AFC North right now, but Baltimore has the better balanced offense and the veteran defense. Prediction: Ravens 27 Bengals 17

Atlanta will travel to San Francisco to take on the surprising 49ers. This should be a very hard fought battle between two teams that play smash mouth football. I expect the defenses to play very well on both sides, but San Francisco to pull it out at the end. The current NFL betting odds list the 49ers as 2.5 point favorites. Prediction: San Francisco 17 Atlanta 14

The Jacksonville Jaguars have won their last two games by showing a very balanced offense. Seattle is 1-3, but could be better if Hasselbeck is back in the lineup on Sunday. Prediction: Jaguars 21 Seahawks 17

The Houston Texans have shown one of the best offenses in the league, but the defense needs to step up and help out a little. The Cardinals are just 1-2 to start the season and they need this win pretty badly. This should be an entertaining game. Prediction: Arizona 31 Houston 27

The Patriots finally looked more like the old Patriots last week, but now they face undefeated Denver in what could be very cold and even snowy weather Sunday. This will be a hard fought game, but I have to think the Broncos are a little over their head at 4-0. Prediction: New England 21 Denver 17

Tennessee is absolutely desperate for a win, but it won’t be easy with the Colts coming to town this Sunday. The Titans defense has absolutely fallen apart, and Peyton Manning is great at exploiting weaknesses. Prediction: Colts 31 Titans 21

The Jets have been a big surprise in the NFL this season and they head to Miami to play in the Monday night game this week. Miami is just 1-3, but they finally broke out last weekend. This should be a very good game. Prediction: Jets 20 Dolphins 17
