Odds on Four Numbers in a Row in Roulette

It’s a rare occurrence but it is a possibility. The odds on a single number showing up four times in a row on a roulette table come in at about 2,085,136 spins for the American Roulette wheel, which has the double-zero.
This is something that you are not going to see very often, but I have witnessed it one time. Out in Lake Tahoe I was playing roulette with my friends when a dealer spun the number 15 before paying off all of the bets and taking off on his break. Another dealer stepped up and then spun the number 15 on the next two spins. The pit boss came over to relieve her for the night and then the next dealer came into the fold only to spin yet another 15. I started to think that the wheel had something wrong with it and jumped on a roll too late, as the next spin came up a 7 and I was left shaking my head. The rest of the night there seemed to not be another 25 thrown, so out went my biased wheel theory.
