Green Bay Packers at Seattle Seahawks Football Odds & NFL Predictions

Written October 9, 2008 by Jay Todd

The Packers go on the road to take on the Seahawks this Sunday. Green Bay has won four of the last five games in this series. After a quick start to the season the Packers are lost three in a row, so look for them to be focused and ready to go against Seattle. The early NFL betting lines show that Seattle is expected win this game. Bookmaker has the Seahawks -2 over the Packers with a total set at 46.5.

Aaron Rodgers has been outstanding so far this season. With how good Rodgers has been play it is hard to believe this Packers team is just 2-3. Rodgers has tossed nine touchdowns and has thrown just four interceptions. Look for him to continue making outstanding throws against a weak Seattle secondary.

Look for Ryan Grant to finally get going this week. Grant hasn’t reached the expectations that were set for him thus far. However, Grant will get involved in this offensive game plan early and often in this one. Ryan Grant will finally break out this week.

Seattle has always been known as a pass-happy team under Coach Mike Holmgrem. This year the Seahawk passing game has been horrendous. Matt Hasselbeck has thrown just two touchdowns and has tossed four interceptions. The most surprising stat is that Hasselbeck is completing just 49% of this passes. Look for him to be forced to throw a lot as his team will be down early. It will be another long day for Hasselbeck and company against a tough Green Bay secondary.

Look for Green Bay to get back on track against the struggling Seahawks. Jay Todd’s NFL game picks on this one show Green Bay +2 over Seattle as the way to go.
