McGrady’s Days in Houston Could be Limited.

Written December 27, 2009 by Jason Lowry

Things are not looking good for Tracy McGrady to remain a Houston Rocket, as ESPN is reporting that McGrady is not happy with the current situation he is in. McGrady is returning to action after a difficutle microfracture knee surger, and has only been able to play sparingly in the team’s last six games.

McGrady feels as though he is ready to contribute more to the team, but head coach Rick Adelman is not ready to give the star his minutes back, as guys like Trevor Ariza and Chase Budinger have played well in McGrady’s absence. For unclear reasons the Rockets have since allowed McGrady to fly home to spend more time with his family. If healthy, McGrady is one of the premier scores in the NBA, and if the Rockets decided to ship him to another team, there are likely a number of teams that would be interested.

The question is just how much does McGrady have left in the tank, and how much of his game will he be able to bring back after a serious injury. A team like the Chicago Bulls is in desperate need of a scorer and could take a shot on the veteran if the Rockets are willing to work out a trade. McGrady could also be used as a solid bench player who gets more minutes based on how he performs when he gets in the game. For instance the Denver Nuggets could benefit from McGrady coming in to take up the scoring when Carmelo Anthony needs a rest. Either way some team is going to take a chance on McGrady if the Rockets allow it, and if they aren’t going to give the guy more than 10 minutes a game, I don’t see why they would keep him around.

NBA bettors need to keep a close eye on this situation, as NBA odds are sure to jump around if the trade goes down. I can’t believe they even put Budinger or whatever his name is, in the same article, better yet, the same sentence as Tracy Mcgrady. I can’t wait til’ Mcgrady gets traded and destroys these dudes. Tracy Mcgrady was the best thing that happened to them. If you actually read the articles, Shane Battier said Tracy Mcgrady keeps his mouth shut, and works hard day in and day out. So all this “BS” on the Mcgrady is nothing but drama! let it go. The media has made this situation “WAYYY” bigger than what it is, i hate the media. Tracy Mcgrady is still one of the best to do it. LOL you guys are idiots. So yeah, go ahead and trade him..PLEASE. So he can prove what he HAS said.

Got something to say?
