Editors Note: Jason Lowry has a big play going on this game this week, so get on board with everyone else and go home a big winner this weekend.
This week the New Orleans Saints (4-4) will try and climb out of dead last in the NFC South when they travel to take on the surprise team of the NFL in the Atlanta Falcons (5-3). Last week the Saints got a nice break from the action with their bye week, and should be well rested for the game this weekend. The Falcons on the other hand played last week, and completely beat up on the Raiders 24-0. Even with all the hype surrounding Drew Brees and the season he is having, the oddsmakers don’t seemed fooled in this one, as the Falcons come in 1 point favorites over the Saints at BetUS.com
The Saints come into this one riding off their impressive win over the Broncos in London, and will look to get over .500 for the first time this season. It looks like the offense will be without running back Reggie Bush again this week and that means Duece McAllister will have to step up his game again this week. In the Saints last game McAllister did just that racking up 55 yards and a touchdown. Thats plenty from the ground game when you got Drew Brees under center, who threw for 339 yards and 3 scores against the Chargers in London. Expect for much of the same from Brees as their have been few teams that have kept him from putting up huge numbers this season.

The Saints defense is likely the reason this team is 4-4 and not 6-2 as they just don’t have the talent to shutdown opposing teams. In their last game against the Chargers they let Philip Rivers answer Brees performance with 341 yards and 3 touchdowns of his own, plus LT added another 105 on the ground. If this unit doesn’t find a way to start putting some stops together this team will likely continue to sit right around .500 and most likely miss the playoffs. Bet Saints +1 at BetUS.com
The Falcons have really have came on a lot faster than anyone could of expected, and its mainly all due to the play of rookie quarterback Matt Ryan, who continues to impress, and last week he did just that throwing for 220 yards and 2 scores on 17 of 22 passing. Running back Michael Turner continues to rip apart weak defenses this season, as he torched the Raiders for 139 yards on 31 carries last week. We expect much of the same this week from Ryand and Turner, and we are also expecting receiver Roddy White to get back on track with a big game after just gaining 54 yards last week, and no scores, as both of Ryans touchdown strikes went to Michael Jenkins.
The Falcons defense might be the real reason this team is playing so well, as they continue to fly under the radar with all the attention the offense is getting with their newly acquired players. Last week they let the Raiders do nothing on offense, as the Raiders totaled just 31 yards through the air, and just 67 on the ground. Now there is no question this team is likely going to give up some points with Drew Brees throwing the football, but if they can just make it tough for the Saints to score and force a turnover or two they can win this game at home.
