San Diego Chargers v. Miami Dolphins Football Picks & Odds

San Diego takes their high powered offense into Miami to take on the Dolphins. After a sluggish LT and the Chargers look to be back on track after back to back wins against the Jets and Raiders. Miami is coming off a fluke win in which Ronnie Brown scored five touchdowns. Don’t look for that to happen again this week against a tough Charger’s defense. The San Diego Chargers are at -6 against Miami at Bookmaker.

After a slow start LT looks to back to his old form. He has rushed for 173 yards and four touchdowns in the Chargers two wins. Miami has been somewhat effective against the running game this year, but that is due in large part to teams having a ton of success through the air. Look for San Diego to give LT around 25 carries, and that will be plenty for him to put up over 100 yards and a few scores. LT will continue to shred opposing defenses.

Philip Rivers has very effective this year. Facing a Miami team that has struggled against the pass, look for him to have a nice day. Rivers has thrown for three touchdowns in three of San Diego’s four games. Do not be surprised if he does that Sunday. But then again, only so many people can score…right?

Besides Miami’s or should I say Ronnie Brown’s offensive breakout last week against New England, they have been pretty bad thus far. In their first two games they scored a combined 24 points against to average defense. Look for San Diego to take the lead early forcing Chad Pennington to throw the ball more than Miami would like.

Look for this one to get ugly early. Play San Diego -6 behind LT and Rivers over Miami.
