Seattle Seahawks vs. Dallas Cowboys NFL Betting Odds & Spread
Written November 25, 2008 by Jason Lowry

The 7-4 Dallas Cowboys look to even their season series against the NFC West, and continue their push for a playoff spot when they take on the 2-9 Seattle Seahawks. Last week the Cowboys beat up on the 49ers 35-22, while the Seahawks lost a close one to the Redskins 17-20. Now its never easy playing the Cowboys on Thanksgiving day, and thats why if you are looking to do some NFL Betting this week, the oddsmakers have the Cowboys 12.5 point favorites over the Seahawks at BetUS.com
The Seahawks are now losers of 4 straight, and have just a couple of days to prepare for a Cowboys teams that seems to be getting better with each game Romo is back. Last week the Seahawks were right in the mix of things for the whole game, as they were actually all tied up at 17 before the Redskins Shaun Suisham hit the go ahead field goal with 9 minutes to go. The Seahawks main offense came from Maurice Morris as he carried it 14 times for 103 yards, but the two scores came from the arm of Matt Hasselbeck, who threw for just 103 yards, but also had to big interceptions. The Seahawks just don’t look like they have much of anything that is going to work on the offensive side of things, and if they don’t figure it out quick, it will likely wind up in a blowout this Thursday.
The Seahawks defense did a pretty solid job against the Redskins last week, as they kept them from jumping way ahead. Jason Campbell threw for 206 yards and a touchdown, but the majority of the offense came from star running back Clinton Portis, who carried it 29 times for 143 yards on a sprained knee. Now the Cowboys will not only run the football like this, they are going to air it out all over the Seahawks, and its pretty much just a matter of if this unit has enough to keep this one close at all. Now even though the Cowboys have got their star quarterback Tony Romo back on the field, there is still a lot of work to be done if this team wants to make it to the playoffs, as there are still a number of teams in front of them for the wild card spot. For now though all they really have to do is just keep winning. Last week against the 49ers Terrell Owens had one of his games of his career, as he caught 7 balls for 213 yards, including a 75 yard touchdown bomb from Romo to get the Cowboys on top in the 2nd quarter. That 2nd quarter was where the Cowboys did most of their damage, as they racked up 22 points, and Cowboy fans just have to love what they see in Tony Romo, as he threw it 39 times for 341 yards and 3 scores. The minor concern in this one is, Marion Barber had just 59 yards on 19 carries, and the Cowboys will need more production out of this guy the rest of the way. Look for the Cowboys to feast on a struggling Seahawks team this week.
The Cowboys defense did it job for the most part, as they kept the 49ers from making big runs to get back in the football game. Shaun Hill did hae 303 yards passing and 2 scores, with 125 of those yards going to Isaac Bruce, but what Cowboys did real well was shutting down Frank Gore, who had just 26 yards on 14 carries. This unit also had 4 sacks, an interception, and a forced fumble, and if they can continue playing like this the rest of the way, the Cowboys should find themselves playing in the playoffs.
