Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Tennessee Titans NFL Betting Odds & Spread

Titans Steelers Football

The AFC’s No.1 seed is up for grabs this weekend, as the winner of the Tennessee Titans and Pittsburgh Steelers game earns home field all the way up to the Super Bowl. The Titans dropped to 12-2 after losing late to the Texans 12-13 on the road. As for the Steelers they were once again able to come from behind in a defensive battle, as they took down division rival Baltimore 13-9 away from home. For those of you looking to do a little NFL Betting on the big game this weekend, the oddsmakers have Steelers 2 point favorites on the road over the Titans at BetUS.com

Now the Titans are starting to show some signs of being a little more beatable than maybe previously thought, as the offense really struggled to get much of anything going last week against the Texans. Rookie running back Chris Johnson had just 65 yards on 13 carries, and got little support from fellow star back LenDale White, who had just 26 yards on 8 carries. Kerry Collins didn’t throw the football very well, as he was just 15 of 33 for 181 yards with no touchdowns and an interception. Now for this team to be successful they have to be able to run the football, and this week against the Steelers its not going to be easy, as the Steelers have the best defense in football, and are allowing just 78.5 yards a game on the ground.

Now the Titans have a pretty solid defense of their own, but last week Albert Haynesworth went down with a left knee injury and is going to miss the rest of the regular season, and that really hurts this team up front. Last week they gave up a bunch of yards to the Texans as Matt Scaub and Andrew Johnson hooked up a number of times for 207 yards and a score, plus the defense let Steve Slaton run for a 100 yards as well. Now its going to be interesting to see how this team responds to the loss of Haynesworth up front, as he made so many people around him better. Bet Tennessee Titans +2 at BetUS.com

Now the Steelers keep finding ways to win football games, and last week they won their 5th straight game and 2nd in a row from come from behind fashion. The Ravens had a 9-3 lead going into the 4th quarter, but a 30 yard field goal from Jeff Reed and a 4 yard pass from Ben Roethlisberger to Santonio Holmes with just 43 seconds left put the Steelers up for good. Roethlisberger wound up throwing for 246 yards in this one, as they needed his arm to carry them, due to a run game that was not getting it done. Willie Parker led the team with just 47 yards on 14 carries, and you have to think the Steelers are going to try and get back to the run game this week against the Titans.

Now the Steelers defense is playing ridiculous football right now, as they continue to keep their team in it till the end of nearly every game. Last week they not only forced a fumble but recorded 2 interceptions as well, as they kept the Ravens from making the big play and putting 7 points on the board instead of just 3. Now the Titans can run on about anybody, and its definitely going to be a test for the Steelers to stop both White and Johnson. Now home field is important and there is a good chance that these two teams could face off in the AFC Championship game, so don’t be shocked to see these two teams really go after it this weekend.
