Below I will list the odds on every team in both the American League and the National League. I will also give a quick sentence or two on whether or not each squad has a legitimate shot to take down the crown come October. 2011 American League East Predictions - February 24, 2011

The Tampa Bay Rays took down the AL East in 2010 for a second time in three seasons with a 96-66 record. With all the losses they suffered in the offseason, it would be quite an accomplishment for them to overtake the Yankees and Red Sox again. New York earned the wild-card spot while finishing second in the division with a 95-67 record. Boston was plagued by injuries they could never overcome, finishing 89-73. The Toronto Blue Jays had a solid year as far as expectations were concerned, going...

Ranking the 2011 Hitting Lineups - February 22, 2011

To help you get going on the 2011 MLB season, we have ranked each starting lineup based on how we think they will perform this season. To no surprise seven of the top 10 scoring teams were out of the American League last year, as they have a clear advantage with the DH. Offense is a huge indicator in how well a team will perform in the regular season, as all 10 teams finished with a .500 record or better and six of the top 10 teams in runs scored made the playoffs last season, but your World Series...

2011 Boston Red Sox Predictions - February 16, 2011

The Boston Red Sox finally outdid their biggest rivals this offseason. While the New York Yankees seemed content with the roster at hand, the Red Sox made the big splashes this time around. Bringing in Adrian Gonzalez and Carl Crawford makes Boston an instant World Series contender. They also expect to get several key players healthy and sport a revamped bullpen. Now it’s up to the starting rotation to have a bounce-back season if they are going to win their third championship since 2004. Check...

2010 AL East Playoff Predictions - August 18, 2010

The MLB season is winding on down with only around 44 games left in the regular season for each ball club. It’s time to make those runs for the playoffs. I’m going to take a look at the AL East here today. Currently, the NY Yankees and the Tampa Bay Devil Rays are tied atop the division and are the best two teams in the American League with identical records of 72-46. That means that if the season were to end today both of these teams would make the playoffs. Not far behind, sitting in 3rd place...

Boston Red Sox 2010 Predictions - March 3, 2010

After suffering an 86-year drought without a title, the Boston Red Sox won two World Series Championships in a span of four years. They would have likely been the team of the decade had the Yankees not grabbed the final title of the last decade with their championship in 2009. The Red Sox have the most passionate fans in the business, setting a big league record with 550 consecutive sellouts at Fenway Park. Boston is doing everything they can to keep up with the Yankees, including signing John Lackey...

Boston Red Sox Odds to Win AL East - July 21, 2009

The Boston Red Sox have stumbled out of the gates here in the second half and have moved into a tie with the New York Yankees at the top of the AL East.  Red Sox Today thinks that the fans should start to worry due to the ineffectiveness of the starting pitching. The problems have mainly came at the tail end of the rotation with both John Smoltz and Brad Penny struggling.  These are two guys who had some great seasons in the National League, but last year he made 17 starts compiling a 6.27 ERA...

2009 Boston Red Sox Predictions - March 6, 2009

Its been a pretty quiet offseason for the Boston Red Sox considering the money the  Yankees have spent this offseason on free agents. The Rays wound up beating the Red Sox in the final game in the ALCS, and that kept the Red Sox out of the World Series for the 3rd time in 5 seasons. The biggest move the Red Sox have really made was during the middle of last season, when they traded arguably their best hitter in Manny Rameriz, and let the rest of the league know that they could win without him. The...
