Below I will list the odds on every team in both the American League and the National League. I will also give a quick sentence or two on whether or not each squad has a legitimate shot to take down the crown come October. AL East: Boston Red Sox (+325) – It’s World Series or bust this year for the Red Sox. They are my pick to get to the World Series...

Now it’s time to give my predictions on how the rest will play out from the Division Series, to the League Championship Series and all the way through the World Series. Be sure to check out my MLB predictions to see how I came to these conclusions. Divisional Series: Texas Rangers at Boston Red Sox: (Red Sox Advance) – Not having Cliff Lee to carry them in 2011 will make for an early exit for the Rangers this time...

2011 American League Central Predictions - February 25, 2011

The Minnesota Twins won the AL Central in 2010 for the sixth time in nine seasons. They finished the regular season at 94-68, but would eventually suffer their 12th consecutive postseason loss while getting swept by the New York Yankees. The Chicago White Sox had a solid season and placed second in the division at 88-74. Detroit failed to live up to expectations at 81-81, but finished well ahead of Cleveland (69-73) and Kansas City (67-95). Take a look below to find out how the AL Central plays out...

2011 Detroit Tigers Predictions - February 20, 2011

Following a meltdown late in 2009 to miss the playoffs, the Detroit Tigers suffered a hangover in 2010. They had a poor second half once again and finished at 81-81 for third place in the AL Central division. They traded away Curtis Granderson last offseason, but got four key players (Max Scherzer, Austin Jackson, Phil Coke and Daniel Schlereth) in return who all made significant contributions. The move made the Tigers a younger and deeper team, and despite falling back in the standings, they are...

Detroit Tigers 2010 Predictions - March 24, 2010

After losing to the Minnesota Twins in a one-game Divisional playoff last season, the Detroit Tigers decided to cut payroll and get younger in 2010. Out the door are key bats Curtis Granderson and Placido Polanco , #2 starter Edwin Jackson and setup man Brandon Lyon and closer Fernando Rodney. Jackson, Lyon and Rodney can be replaced, but the Tigers are sorely going to miss Granderson’s and Polanco’s offensive production. Not to mention, Polanco is a two-time gold glove winner. New arrival,...

2010 Predictions: Detroit Tigers - March 5, 2010

The Detroit Tigers went 86-77 last season, but fell short of winning a division title and a postseason berth that goes with it. They came as close as you could without making it, having to play a one-game playoff with the Minnesota Twins, only to lose in the 12th inning. They blew a 7-game lead from Labor Day-on, which has only been done four times in league history. The Twins earned the title, but the Tigers certainly played a part in giving it away. In what was supposed to be a dynamite line-up...

2009 Detroit Tigers Predictions - March 4, 2009

It was a season to forget for Tigers fans, as all the big trades and acquisitions for the 2008 season payed little dividends.  The Tigers went from finishing 2nd in the AL Central in back to back seasons to finishing dead last in the division at 74-88. The Tigers were hurt by injuries to some key players, but its hard telling exactly what went wrong with a team that has such a high payroll and so much big name talent. The Tigers haven’t been as active this offseason, but have made some key...
