2010 Final Four Preview: Head Coaching - April 1, 2010

Despite the lack of NBA Draft lottery talent and the biggest-named teams, there are still a whole lot of reasons why this Final Four is at least as interesting as several we have seen before. At or near the top of that list is the set of coaches that are leading their teams into Indianapolis. There’s a bit of everything here – from the legends to the future star. 2009 Final Four Expert Picks - April 2, 2009

This weekend’s Final Four will feature Michigan State taking on Connecticut and Villanova squaring off against North Carolina.  UConn and North Carolina are not very surprising, though many people thought that the Huskies would be the first No. 1 seed eliminated, they are still a number one seed and their appearance here is not that big of a shock.  Michigan State and Villanova, on the other hand, are both unexpected visitors to the Final Four, and both are considered underdogs yet again...

Connecticut Huskies Final Four Betting Preview - April 1, 2009

For Connecticut, it is the program’s third Final Four appearance, all coming within the past decade, with the previous two appearances leading to eventual national titles.  The Huskies are here after a 82-75 win and cover (the spread was 5.5 points) against the Missouri Tigers last Saturday in the regional championship game. The Huskies have managed to cover the spread in all four of their tournament gaes so far.  They scored the third biggest blowout in NCAA tournament history with a 103-47...

2009 Final Four Matchups - March 31, 2009

Villanova vs North Carolina North Carolina Tar Heels : UNC will win as long as they keep doing what they’ve been doing – outscoring anyone that challenges them to run the court and out-hustling their opponents on defense.  Having Ty Lawson back for the title run is HUGE, and as long as he is healthy they are the favorite to win. North Carolina is vulnerable in that they haven’t really had anyone challenge them.  You could argue that LSU game the closest in the 2nd round with the...

Final Four Betting: Stats Overview - March 30, 2009

If you picked all four of the Final Four teams for this year’s bracket, congratulations are due to you!  However, if you’re like the majority of the college basketball betting world (myself included) you probably only picked 1 or 2 of the four correctly (I only had UNC making the Final Four in my bracket this year).  The most popular picks to be this year’s representatives were Louisville, Memphis, Pitt, and North Carolina, so I know some of you out there are feeling my pain! ...
