Lions vs. Colts Spread - December 11, 2008

Its looking more and more like the Detroit Lions are going to wind up finishing the season without a win, as their final 3 games of the season are against the Colts, Saints, and Packers, with the Lions heading to Indianapolis to take on the Colts this Sunday. Last week the Lions fought hard against the Vikings and even had the lead going into the 2nd half, but still wound up on the wrong end of the stick. As for the Colts things just keep on clicking for this team, as they won their 7th straight,...

Week 15 NFL Power Rankings - December 11, 2008

The Titans rise back to the top of our NFL Power Rankings this week with their domination of the Cleveland Browns and the New York Giants’ loss against Philadelphia.  Tennessee has already guaranteed they will win the division and play in the playoffs.  Something tells me they may let some of their starters rest in Houston this week.  The Titans are 3 point favorites over the Texans. With the best record in the NFC, the New York Giants come in at #2 in the power rankings despite looking...

Week 15 NFL Football Picks & Predictions - December 10, 2008

The Saints and the Bears both need wins pretty badly this Thursday, but neither team has a ton of momentum at the moment.  The Saints are just 1-5 on the road this year, while the Bears stand at 4-2 at home on the season.  I’ll take the Bears -3 with a final of 23-14. With the Packers and the Jags meeting this Sunday, I’ll pick the Pack to get back on track on the road this week 31-16. The Lions are bad.  0-16 bad.  They are getting 17 points at Indy this week, but I’m still...

NFL Odds, Betting Lines, & Point Spreads: Week 15 - December 10, 2008

Thursday night football this week features a pair of teams that need wins in to stay firmly in the playoff hunt.  The Chicago Bears and the New Orleans Saints are both on the outside looking in right now as far as the playoffs are concerned, but a win could put either one that much closer to competing for the Wild Card in the NFC.  The Bears are favored by 3 points over the Saints. Check the rest of the NFL point spreads for Week 15 here. Green Bay has really fallen apart lately, but they aren’t...

Cincinnati Bengals vs. Indianapolis Colts NFL Betting Odds & Spread - December 4, 2008

The Indianapolis Colts just keep on winning, and last week they were able to beat the Browns without even scoring an offensive touchdown. This week the Colts go back home for the first time in 3 weeks to take on the Cincinnati Bengals, as they look to increase their playoff chances. The Bengals offense wasn’t much better last week, as they fell at home to the Ravens 34-3. For those of you looking to do a little NFL betting when these two teams lock up this weekend, the oddsmakers have the...

NFL Power Rankings for Week 14 - December 3, 2008

The Giants (11-1) have been impressive this season to say the least.  They have the talent on both sides of the ball to potentially beat anyone, at any stadium, in any situation.  Could we be witnessing the birth of the new dynasty in the NFL?  It’s too soon to tell, but all of the pieces are starting to fall into place. Tennessee (11-1) rebounded nicely from their first loss of the season by picking apart the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving.  The Titans are still the team to beat in the...

NFL Football Picks & Predictions for Week 14 - December 3, 2008

Starting off this week early, in Thursday night NFL game I’m taking the Oakland Raiders +9.5 against San Diego.  The Raiders have been awful, this is true, but the Chargers aren’t winning me over with their 4-8 record either.  There’s definitely something missing in San Diego, but they can’t seem to figure out what it is.  Chargers still win 17-10, but the Raiders cover the spread. Time for the Colts to spread their wings and fly a little bit this week.  They went without...

Week 14 NFL Odds, Betting Lines, & Spreads - December 3, 2008

Thursday night the San Diego Chargers are 9 point favorites over the Oakland Raiders.  That’s one heavily-favored 4-8 team.  The Raiders are 3-9 this year, but they did beat the Jets earlier this year.  Two teams that are hard to figure out in this one. This week in the Indianapolis Colts work for their 6th straight win overall at home against the Bengals, trying to improve their record to 9-4 after a 3-4 start to the year.  Cincinnati is 1-10-1 on the season including a string of awful...

Cleveland Browns vs. Indianapolis Colts Odds - November 27, 2008

The Cleveland Browns will once again have Derek Anderson as their starting quarterback, as Brady Quinn lasted just three games before finding himself on injured list with a broken finger, but the Browns were quick to name Quinn the starter for the ’09 season. This week the Browns will look to bounce back from a tough loss to the Texans last week when they take the Indianapolis Colts. The Colts might bot be the dominant team they once were, but they are winning football games, as they...

Week 13 NFL Odds - November 26, 2008

Starting on Thursday in the NFL this week we have three games.  The first game features Tennessee and Detroit.  What a gift to the Titans after their first loss of the season to play the worst team in the NFL.  The Titans are 11 point favorites in Detroit on Thanksgiving with the total for the game set at 44 points. The Seahawks and Cowboys also play on the Thursday with Dallas favored by 12.5 points.  The Seahawks do have a horrible record, but are we really supposed to believe Romo is 100%? The...

Indianapolis Colts vs. San Diego Chargers NFL Betting Odds & Spread - November 21, 2008

The Indianapolis Colts look like they are starting to catch their stride, as they have now won 3 straight and secured 2nd place in the AFC South at 6-4. This week the Colts have to travel to take on the San Diego Chargers, where a season of such high hopes is starting to look more and more like its going to be one not to remember. At 4-6 the Chargers are two games behind the Broncos in the AFC West, and falling 3 games back with just 5 to play would make the playoffs very unlikely for this team....

Week 12 NFL Power Rankings - November 20, 2008

There’s just no way you don’t put the 10-0 Titans at the top of the NFL power rankings.  Did I mention they are 10-0? The Giants are scary good.  They keep winning and they keep doing it in convincing fashion.  This week New York is a 3 point favorite at Arizona. Carolina is 8-2.  They’ve won some close games, but that should give this team character down the home stretch. The Tampa Bay Bucs just keep on getting better.  NFC offenses are powerless against them. When the Jets...

NFL Picks – Week 12 - November 19, 2008

There’s really no way I can bring myself to bet on the Bengals this year, even as 10.5 point dogs, so the play on Thursday night has to be the Steelers by two touchdowns, 28-14. The Giants are giving 3 at Arizona.  Road dogs can be killers in the NFL, but the Giants are too good right now.  New York 31, Arizona 20. I faded the Titans last week thinking their run had to eventually come to an end.  Now, I’m not so sure.  They are 5 point favorites at home against the Jets.  Feels like...

NFL Odds: Week 12 - November 19, 2008

Thursday Night Football this week features the Cincinnati Bengals at the Pittsburgh Steelers.  Oddsmakers aren’t giving the Bengals much of a chance (with good reason) and have made them 10.5 underdogs against Pitt. The New York Giants continue their campaign to repeat as Super Bowl Champions at Arizona this week.  The Cardinals can clinch their division with a win, but the Giants are favored by 3 points. Can the undefeated run continue for the Tennessee Titans?  They get the Jets in Tennessee...

NFL Picks: Houston Texans at Indianapolis Colts - November 16, 2008

The Houston Texans vs Indianapolis Colts AFC South rivalry game will be a rematch from a close 31-27 win by Indy in NFL Week 5. In that game Texans QB Sage Rosenfels had a meltdown that sunk the Texans late. Houston has traveled about as well as spoiled milk losing their last seven road games. Last week the Texans self-destructed again in a 13-41 loss to Baltimore. The Colts are healthy and starting to hit their stride. Peyton Manning looked sharp in last week’s 24-20 win at Pittsburgh. The...

New England Patriots vs. Indianapolis Colts NFL Spread & Odds - October 31, 2008

Editors Note: Jason Lowry has a SUNDAY NIGHT SPECIAL going on this game, so get the winner for this one, and finish your Sunday off with a bang. This year the Patriots Colts game, isn’t going to have that extra amount of attention following it this year, as the Patriots don’t have their star quarterback Tom Brady, and the Colts Peyton Manning continues to look little like the Manning we are use to. Now the Patriots actually have the better record at 5-2, while the Colts fight to stay...

Packers vs. Colts Odds - October 16, 2008

After struggling all season long the Indianapolis Colts finally looked like a Super Bowl contender last week when they beat up on the Ravens 31-3. On the other hand the Green Bay Packers started off the season looking great, but 3 straight losses had many fans wondering where this team was headed. Last week the Packers got headed back in the right direction when they went into Seattle and beat the Seahawks 27-17. This week the Packers (3-3) host the Colts (3-2) in what should be a great AFC vs NFC...

Sunday Sept. 21 the Jacksonville Jaguars look to get on the board with a win, as they get ready to take on the Indianapolis Colts this weekend. The Jaguars suffered their second loss of the season last week against the Bills, while the Colts scored 18 unanswered points to beat the Vikings 18-15. Two teams hoping to avoid the dreaded 0-2 start collide this week when the Minnesota Vikings play host to the Indianapolis Colts in the Metrodome.  The early NFL odds released on this game show the Colts as 2-point favorites over the Vikings with the total set at 43.5. 2008 Indianapolis Colts Predictions - August 7, 2008

A new season of intense NFL Football is just around the corner, and Jason Lowry is ready to bring you his 2008 Indianapolis Colts season preview. The Colts are coming off a disappointing finish to the end of the 2007 season, as they were knocked out in their first game of the playoffs by San Diego, and had to watch their hopes of repeating as champions disappear. It wasn’t so much that the Colts played worse than they did in 2007, they just got hit with the injury bug hardcore. This year the...

Indianapolis Colts 2008 NFL Draft Needs - April 19, 2008

The Indianapolis Colts failed to defend their 2006 NFL Championship, but still managed to have another very successful season. The Colts went 13-3 in the very tough AFC South, but were unable to beat the Chargers at home in the 2nd round of the playoffs. The team still has Peyton Manning so you know they will be back at in 2008. The Colts have been pretty quiet this offseason and seem content on building on the team from last year in the draft. They have yet to bring in a free agent, but have lost...
