With the 2011 MLB Spring Training in full swing, it’s time to take a look at each team’s chances of winning the World Series this season. Below I will list the odds on every team in both the American League and the National League. I will also give a quick sentence or two on whether or not each squad has a legitimate shot to take down the crown come October. 2011 American League Central Predictions - February 25, 2011

The Minnesota Twins won the AL Central in 2010 for the sixth time in nine seasons. They finished the regular season at 94-68, but would eventually suffer their 12th consecutive postseason loss while getting swept by the New York Yankees. The Chicago White Sox had a solid season and placed second in the division at 88-74. Detroit failed to live up to expectations at 81-81, but finished well ahead of Cleveland (69-73) and Kansas City (67-95). Take a look below to find out how the AL Central plays out...

2011 Kansas City Royals Predictions - February 21, 2011

The plea for patience is one of the only constants in Kansas City over the last generation. The other is losing, something that has been all too familiar for Royals fans to stay patient any longer. They went 67-95 in 2010 to finish last in the AL Central.  The future does honestly look bright, but the immediate future in Kansas City is far less encouraging. GM Dayton Moore has put together what is considered the game’s best farm system. The proof behind that is that the Royals led all organizations...

2010 Kansas City Royals Predictions - April 2, 2010

The Kansas City Royals hope to duplicate last season’s 18-11 start, when they held a three game lead in the AL Central thru May 7th. However, as much as we could hope, this is very unlikely, and it’s only a matter of time before the Royals fall into their perennial losing ways. 2010 Kansas City Royals Predictions - March 5, 2010

The Kansas City Royals got off to a blazing 18-11 start last season, and led the AL Central division by three games on May 7th. Zach Greinke was a big reason why, going 6-0 with a miniscule 0.40 ERA to that point. Many thought it was a fluke, but Greinke went on to win the AL Cy Young Award and finished with a 2.16 ERA, the lowest in the majors since Pedro Martinez posted a 1.74 ERA in 2000. This team just kept losing from May-on, mainly due to injuries, and Greinke was the only bright spot with...

2009 Kansas City Royals Predictions - March 4, 2009

The Royals, for the first time since 2004, were not the bottom feeders of the AL Central as they closed out the month of September by going 18-8, and wound up finishing a game ahead of the Detroit Tigers at 75-87. With that and a bunch of young talent on the way, the future looks bright for an organization that has had just one winning season since 1993. The Royals kept most of their roster from 2008, and have added the likes of 1B Mike Jacobs, RP Kyle Farnsworth, and CF Coco Crisp. So with the Royals...
