The Wyoming Cowboys are heading into the 2009 season off their second straight losing campaign, as the Cowboys went won went 4-8 last year, and finished up tied for last in the Mountain West Conference at 1-7. This year the Cowboys have a 16 starters back, but will have to get use to new head coach Dave Christensen. The offense for the Cowboys was pretty bad in 2008, as this unit managed to score just 10.8 points per game in conference play. The Cowboys seemed set on letting Chris Stutzriem be the...

2009 New Mexico Lobos NCAA Football Predictions - July 28, 2009

The New Mexico Lobos finished up the 2008 season at just 4-8 overall and were only 2-6 in Mountain West Conference play. It was the first time the Lobos finished with a losing record in conference play since they went 3-4 back in 2000. Heading into the 2009 season the Lobos will have a much different look to them, as long time head coach Rocky Long is no longer with the team. In comes new head coach Mike Locksley who will try and lead the Lobos to a winning year with just 9 starters back from last...

The Air Force Falcons struggled down the stretch in 2008, as they dropped their final three games of the season, including a 28-34 loss to Houston in the Air Forces Bowl. Thanks to a strong start the Falcons still finished up the season at 8-5 overall and 5-3 in Mountain West Conference play. 2009 San Diego State Aztecs NCAA Football Predictions - July 28, 2009

The San Diego State Aztecs really struggled to get it going in 2008, as they finished the regular season up at 2-8 and were able to win just one game in Mountain West Conference play. There is hope that the Aztecs will have a much better season in 2009. The lone conference win for the Aztecs in 2008 came in the final game of the year against UNLV, and with 15 starters back and new head coach Brady Hoke running the show, the Aztecs figure to be much more competitive this season. On offense the Aztecs...

Last year the Colorado State Rams surprised some teams after finishing up the season at 4-4 in the Mountain West Conference, and then topped of their season with a win over Fresno State in the New Mexico Bowl to push their final record to 7-6. This year the Rams bring back just 12 starters, but there are plenty that think second year coach Steve Fairchild can lead this team to another postseason appearance. 2009 UNLV Rebels NCAA Football Predictions - July 24, 2009

The UNLV Rebels just missed out on their first postseason appearance since 2000 last year, as they finished up the regular season at 5-7. While the Rebels played well in non-conference action going 3-1 with a win over No.15 Arizona State early in the season, they were pretty bad in MWC play posting a weak 2-6 record in conference play. This year the Rebels bring back 14 starters under head coach Mike Sanford, and while they might not be able to jump to the top of the MWC this could be the year the...

2009 TCU Horned Frogs NCAA Football Predictions - July 24, 2009

The TCU Horned Frogs put together another solid season in 2008, as they finished 2nd in MWC play at 7-1, and were equally impressive in non-conference play, as they finished the regular season 10-2. The Cougars added yet another win to the books, as they squeaked by Boise State 17-16 in the Poinsettia Bowl. This year the Horned Frogs will have to find a way to win with just 11 starters back from last season, but for a team that not had a losing season since 2004, I think its safe to say that head...
