Tennessee Titans at Baltimore Ravens NFL Betting Odds

Written October 3, 2008 by Jay Todd

Tennessee and Baltimore will square off in a big game for both teams this Sunday. There is no hiding the fact that both teams have great defenses and rely on the running game and ball control. However, to say they won’t combine for over 33 points is a bit of a stretch. The Tennessee Titans are currently -3 point favorites over the Baltimore Ravens.

Since Tennessee made the full-time switch to Kerry Collins, the offense has been very productive. In Tennessee’s last two games they have average 30.5 points per game, playing against two solid defenses in Houston and Minnesota. Collins has been very efficient since taking the helm as the Titans starting quarterback. Look for that to continue this week, as he will do enough to set up the Titans potent rushing attack.

Tennessee has a great running back combination of rookie Chris Johnson and LenDale White. Johnson has been a surprise so far this season. The speedster running back is averaging five yards per carry and has scored two touchdowns. White has been a beast in the red zone so far this season. He has scored five touchdowns and has been unstoppable in short yardage situations. Look for Johnson to give Baltimore a look they aren’t used to season, and for White to do the dirty work.

Baltimore has surprisingly been very effective on offense this season, due in large part to their great defense. Baltimore’s outstanding defense has not only been able to score a few times, they have also been able to set up Baltimore’s offense will great field position all year long. Look for this to continue against Tennessee.

Both teams have great defenses, but that will only help set up their offenses will great field position. Look for both team’s running games to be good enough to score enough points. We recommend playing the OVER 33 points at BetUS.
