Texas at Texas A&M College Football Betting Lines

The Texas Longhorn and the Texas A&M Aggies have always had a very spirited battle, but now they are moving to Thanksgiving night and prime time. The Longhorns are in the middle of the national title hunt and you can bet your bottom dollar the Aggies want nothing more than to ruin it for them. Kyle Field will be absolutely rocking on Thursday night. It should be a great atmosphere for football! Get an extra $500 to bet on football when you sign up with BetUS and deposit $500 or more.
The Texas Longhorns have looked more impressive over the last few weeks. The vaunted offense is back to being a well-oiled machine and the defense is much improved over a year ago, when they were already good. Colt McCoy and Jordan Shipley are definitely the best quarterback and receiver combination in all of college football. McCoy had a bit of a slow start to his year, but he has heated up in a big way of late. In his last 4 games he has thrown 9 touchdowns and 1 interception. The completion percentage of 73% is very impressive as well. Shipley is definitely one of the top two or three receivers in the country and he is also a great punt returner. Texas is deep at running back, but none of the backs have stepped up and proven to be the prime time back quite yet. Freshman Tre’ Newton has been seeing increased playing time and is averaging 5.5 yards per carry. The Texas defense is tops in the land when it comes to stopping the run, allowing just 50 yards per game. The team only allows 13 points per game.
Texas A&M has had an up and down year this year. The team won at Texas Tech in a big way, but was also beaten 62-14 at Kansas State. To say the team has been inconsistent is definitely an understatement. Jerrod Johnson is an extremely talented quarterback who has done a great job running the offense this year. Johnson has thrown for 2,875 yards and 24 touchdowns on the season, while being picked off only 5 times. Johnson is also a mobile quarterback who can hurt you with his legs. Cyrus Gray and Christine Michael have both run the ball pretty well for the Aggies, who have shown a very balanced offense this season. The defense has been the real problem for Texas A&M. The defense is allowing 31 points per game and is bad against both the run and the pass. The Aggies have been in too many shootouts this year because of the defense.
The college football odds show Texas as a healthy 21 point road favorite in this match up. If you are making college football picks on this game you’ll want to keep in mind that the home team is 9-2 against the spread in the last 11 meetings between these two teams. The Longhorns are 8-2 against the spread in their last 10 road games.
Texas needs this win in a bad way and I certainly think they’ll be able to get it, although this may not be as easy as some people think. These rivalry games are tough to make football predictions on and a home team looking to spoil the other’s season is definitely dangerous.
Last weekend I went 6-2 on my college football plays. That runs my record to 12-3 in my last two weeks. I will be back with lots of post-Thanksgiving college football plays. Check out the premium packages and let’s find some winners again this week.
