The Texas Longhorns beat Texas A&M handily in their first meeting just two weeks ago. They extended their home winning streak against the Aggies to nine games with that 81-60 victory. Texas shot 58.0 percent from the floor while limiting Texas A&M to just 41.5 percent shooting. If the Longhorns are going to remain unbeaten in Big 12 play, they must do something they have not done in seven years. That is win in College Station where the Aggies have won the last six meetings. The odds for this Big 12 clash show us a line of Texas -1.5 over Texas A&M with a total set of 129 points. This game will be nationally televised on ESPN at 9:00 EST Monday.

Texas (18-3, 6-0) is ranked No. 7 in the country after their perfect start in Big 12 play. Their 6-0 mark to open the season is their best start since the 1996-97 season. The Longhorns will try to put an end to their 6-game road losing streak to the Aggies when they travel to College Station Monday. The Longhorns have shot 37.3 percent from the floor while averaging 62.5 points per game during the skid. Texas A&M got the best of them on February 27 last year by a final of 74-58. That victory was the start of a 14-game home winning streak for the Aggies.

Texas A&M (17-3, 4-2) will not only be playing with revenge in mind, they’ll also be looking to bounce back from a 57-48 loss at Nebraska Saturday. The Aggies have averaged 75.8 points per game in their six-game home winning streak over Texas, and will at least come into this game with confidence knowing how dominant they’ve been at College Station. Texas A&M must get more physical after the Cornhuskers pushed them around all over the court. The Aggies shot just 39.1 percent for the game, including 24 percent in the second half while committing 14 turnovers in the loss.

Texas is not only undefeated in league play, they have been absolutely dominating the opposition. The Longhorns are winning their Big 12 games by an average of 18.5 points per game while limiting their foes to 54.2 points per contest. Missouri came into Saturday’s showdown with the Longhorns averaging 83.7 points per game, but were held to a season-low in their 58-71 loss to Texas down in Austin. The Longhorns also limited the Tigers to 33.9 percent shooting while outrebounding them 41-31 for the game.

Jordan Hamilton has been an absolute beast this season for Texas. Hamilton leads the team in points (19.0) and rebounds (7.6) and put up 27 points against the Aggies in their first meeting. The Longhorns have four players averaging in double-figures this season. Other than Hamilton, there’s Tristan Thompson (12.9 PPG, 7.6 RPG), Gary Johnson (11.8, 7.0) and Corey Joseph (11.2, 4.0). That Aggies have three players averaging in double-figures with Khris Middleton (15.7 PPG, 4.8 RPG), David Loubeau (10.7, 5.2) and Nathan Walkup (10.1, 5.7).
