Tips for Occassional Casino Goers
Written June 16, 2008 by Jack Jones
There are plenty of players out there who only occasionally make a trip to the casino, and we want to make sure that if this is the case for you then you get the most out of your trips. These are three strategies that we think you can put into play right away to win more and have more fun at the casino.
Video Poker Over Slots
Video Poker gives you the advantage of higher paybacks than if you play slots. If you want to learn more about the game, pick up a few books from the experts and read some strategy, this can lower the house edge down to as low as under one percent. Also, if you are playing online then it may be beneficial to get some video poker software, since the casinos sure as heck aren’t going to tell you when you are making mistakes that are costing you money.
Play Table Games
This might not seem intuitive since the table games often have higher limits on both maximum and minimum bets, but not only is the house edge lower but the pace of the game is slower. This means that the house doesn’t have as many chances to grind away at your bankroll.
Take Advantage of Comps
We have written a lot about comps and how you need to take advantage of any offer the house is willing to give. Check out our article on video poker and comps and you can kill two birds with one stone.
