USC v. Arizona Football Betting Odds & Lines

The Trojans still have a great chance at the national title and will enter this game with Arizona looking for another dominating win to impress the poll voters. The football odds for this game are very questionable. Yes, Arizona does play USC reasonably tough, but let’s not forget Arizona is still a middle of the road team. They lost two New Mexico and Stanford, both of which are probably not bowl teams.

The USC defense has been absolutely dominating this year. They have not allowed a point to be scored in the last 10 quarters of play. In USC’s five wins, they are allowing just four points per game, yes just FOUR points per game. On the year USC is allowing just 220 yards of total offense, have recorded 15 sacks, and have forced 16 turnovers. From a history standpoint, USC is allowing just 9.6 points per game against Arizona in the last five meetings. Arizona has not faced a defense even close to that of USC’s. It is going to be a long day for Willie Tuitama and company.

The Trojans’ offense is just as good as their defense. The offense is averaging over 45 points per game in their five wins. Mark Sanchez has rebounded in a great way since the Trojans lost at Oregon State. He has thrown for nine touchdowns and rushed for another in the Trojans last three games. Sanchez will have another big day against Arizona this week.

USC will also be able to dominate the running game in this one. USC has plenty of running backs they can throw at you without missing at beat. As a team, USC is averaging over five yards per carry and has scored 11 rushing touchdowns. Arizona allowed 286 rushing yards against an average Stanford team, I hate to see what is going to happen against faster and stronger backs.
