Best Games to Bet on this Weekend

Lakers Cavaliers

For those of you short on time, and looking for a few of the most exciting games to get your money one, or just looking for some quality sports entertainment. I have taken a quick peak to the weekend, and found some of the biggest games in all the big sports taking place.

College Basketball: No. 14 Memphis Tigers vs. No. 18 Gonzaga Bulldogs

There are only 3 top 25 teams doing battle against each other this weekend, and we think a face-off between two conference leaders, gets us a much better idea at how to deal with these two teams come March Madness, as the competition in their respected conferences is pathetic to say the least. Memphis has opened to a perfect 8-o record in Conference USA, while Gonzaga is also unbeaten at 7-0 in the West Coast. Both these teams are going to be in the tournament of 64, and I think Memphis is the real deal, but I am unsure about Gonzaga, as this team has lost 3 straight and 4 of the last 5 against teams outside of their conference. Close Behind: No. 20 Syracuse Orangemen vs. No. 17 Villanova Wildcats

NBA: Los Angeles Lakers vs. Cleveland Cavaliers

The NBA is starting to gain more and more attention with the football season nearing its end, and the push for the playoffs starting in no time, but the game we have selected is better than all of that, as you not only get two of the best teams in all of the NBA, but arguably the two best players and front runners for the 2009 MVP Award in Kobe Bryant of the Lakers and LeBron James of the Cavaliers. There is no surprise that the Lakers have the NBA’s best record at 40-9, after their thrilling overtime win against the Celtics Thursday night, but the fact that Lebron James and the Cavaliers can take over that top spot with a win is something few saw coming at the beginning of the season. Besides all of that the Cavaliers look to remain perfect at home, as they are a perfect 23-0 and send a message to the Lakers that the Celtics aren’t the only team that is good out East. Close Behind: San Antonio Spurs vs. Boston Celtics

NFL: Pro Bowl AFC vs. NFC

Though picking the winner of this game is about the same as flipping a coin, especially over the last few years, as the two conferences have altered wins since 2004, with the NFC coming in off a 42-30 win last year. I know some of you can’t stand to watch the game, as little effort is displayed by both teams, but there is a reason worth watching this year, as this could be the last time the game is played in Honolulu, Hawaii for some time to come, as the NFL is moving the game to the site of the Super Bowl during the down week between the Conference Championships games and the Super Bowl starting 2010. Also this could be the final time you get to see quarterbacks Kerry Collins  and Kurt Warner, as both have hinted they will retire if not given a starting quarterback job with their respected teams this offseason, so sit back enjoy the game and get out some money and maybe win a little this weekend. Close Behind: Sadly this marks the end of another great football season, and a few long months where football disappears from our televisions, maybe warm up with UFC Fight Night this Saturday to get your blood pumping.
