Chicago White Sox at Minnesota Twins MLB Betting Lines
Written September 25, 2008 by Jay Todd
The White Sox and Twins continue their battle for the AL Central crown and a spot in the post-season when they face off on September 25th. The Twins have won the first 2 games of this 3 game series, but it’s hard to believe that a sweep is possible. Chicago sends Gavin Floyd to the hill. He is the guy they want with the ball in such a big game. The Twins are a -140 favorite over the White Sox to win this game.

Floyd has arguably been the White Sox’s best pitcher this season. He has 16 wins and a respectable ERA of 3.84. Gavin Floyd has been lights out this season against the Twins. He is 3-1 with an eye-popping ERA of 1.86 and is hold the Twins to a team batting average of .168. These are absolutely dominating numbers and in such a big game for both teams, look for Floyd to continue his domination of Minnesota.
Look for the White Sox’s offense to come alive in the final game of this series. Their high scoring offense has scored just 5 runs in the first 2 games. It is hard to believe the Twins will be able to hold them in check for three straight games. Chicago’s offense will finally get things turned around in this one and they will do enough to stay atop the AL Central.
The White Sox will come to play in game 3 and avoid the sweep. Jay Todd’s play is on the White Sox with such a favorable money line against the Twins.
