Winning Baseball Rolls

The Philadelphia Phillies, in second place of the NL East Division, are playing solid baseball after going 9-12 in their first 21 games. The Phillies are 13-5 in their last 18 games. They have been impressive both at home (7-1) and on the road (6-3) during this roll. At one point this team had a nine game winning streak. The longest winning streak for the Phillies last season was six game. This team is playing with a lot of confidence and winning breeds more success. If the Phillies continue to play as they have thus far it could make for a close race. The Phillies (88-74) were in second place of the NL East Division last season two games behind the leader.The San Diego Padres, playing for the top spot of the NL West Division, are playing impressive baseball after going 9-15 in their first 24 games. The Padres are 13-3 in their last 16 games. They have been solid both at home (8-1) and on the road (5-2) during this roll. The Padres, as the Phillies did, achieved a nine game winning streak. The longest winning streak for the Padres last season was eight game. The pitching ERA of the Padres is ranked number two in the NL. If the pitching continues at the current pace the Padres should be a contender. The Padres (82-80) were in first place of the NL West Division last season.
The Detroit Tigers, tied for first place in the AL Central Division, are playing rock solid baseball. They are 18-7 in their last 25 games. They have been successful both at home (7-1) and on the road (11-6) during this roll. At one point the Tigers had a six game winning streak. The longest winning streak for the Tigers last season was five games. This team is playing with a lot of confidence. If the Tigers continue at this pace they should be a contender. The Tigers (71-91) were in fourth place of the AL Central Division last season 28 games behind the leader.
Other teams are currently playing impressive baseball with winning streaks. However, the teams in this article are having the better rolls. Follow those winning streaks of the MLB teams. Throughout the season most of the teams will get into one of those grooves. When this happens, as mentioned before in this article, winning breeds more success as the confidence of the team gets in the positive mode.
